Yucatan Tour
December 2010

We are delighted to announce that our first ever Yucatan tour is now scheduled for early December of next year (2010).

Our tour-led by a distinguished expert in the fields of anthropology and archaeology-will include visits to some of the region's most famous sites including:

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn not only about ancient and colonial history but also about the enduring Maya and their rich living heritage.

(For more information about Mayan history and culture-including the bogus Mayan 2012 Doomsday Prophecy-and a sample itinerary of the Yucatan region, click here.)

Accommodations

All accommodations for this tour will be in 1st-class hotels, typically members of the Mexican boutique hotel association. Many of these are also places of historic significance.

For example, Hotel Hacienda Chichen, is a former working hacienda right on the grounds of the UNESCO world heritage site of Chichen Itza. This is a place where the great 19th century explorer John Lloyd Stephens stayed while traveling though the Yucatan with English artist Frederick Catherwood in the 1840s.
